Is it possible to input and view the day value worked on an task in the
timesheet view.
Current setting only permit the entry of hours per day/week.

You can change the default for all users by changing the
default

"Resources should report their total hours worked for a week"

option to the

"Resources should report their hours worked every day"

option on the PWA | Admin| Customize Project Web Access
menu.

Is this what you are looking for?

Enter, yes; display, no.

For example, you can enter 1d. But it will immediately be converted into
the number of work hours in a day -- typically 8h.

Thanks for the reply Bob. Your suggestion reflects my current settings.
To clarify, the team members want to insert '1' to represent 8hrs of
work and not '8'.
eg.

A resource is assigned to a task for two weeks, 10 days of effort.
In PWA, after one week the resource wants to input 5 x 1 day instead of
5 x 8 hours, based on 8hrs per day

Bob,
does not seem to work for me. Whatever I do I can NOT get the grid to allow
me to enter time per day. The grid has Act. Work but it is not possible to
enter anything. I can make Act. Work as a column for the whole week and enter
actutals in there but in case I want to peopel to enter time per day. Period
is weekly.

Thank you it worked.

To change the default method of tracking Project Server, refer to the
following FAQ:

http://www.projectserverexperts.com/Shared Documents/ChangeTrackingMethod.htm

Notice in the FAQ that there are REQUIRED steps for both the Project Server
administrator and ALL project managers. Refer to the Note in the FAQ about
the behavior of tasks that have already had progress entered against them
but are not yet completed. Hope this helps.
