Timesheet help

I need to keep a basic timesheet that shows how many hours & minutes I work
on a specific date. Then once I complete my project, I need to multiple the
hours I spent on the project by my hourly wage. I have the timehseet
partially set up. I have the time in hours and minutes. But when I try to
multiply the total hours and minutes by the hourly wage, I get a wierd
number. Any help would be appreciated.

If you enteed time as hours:minutes then excel converted the hours as a
fraction of a day. * hours = 8/24 = .3333

Your formula for salery needs to be changes to 24 * Hours * wage, or change
hour from a time number to a non-time format. Instead 5:30 use 5.5.

Hello,
if you had 5 hours 45 minutes
Very simple, divide your minutes in to a fraction eg 45/60 = 0.75 ( thus
0.75 of an hour )

Now add your hours and your ( fraction minutes ) together = 5.75, now
multipy that by your hourly rate.

Hope this helped, regards Roy
