Timesheet manager - How do I set

I can´t figure out how to set timesheet manager.
I thought that it had to do with the RBS and I have set RBS for two
resources one above the other. A on top an B on lower level.
But... what ever I do B is always able to approve his own timesheet. I
evt sat DENY in approve timesheet for her.. What do I do wrong???
Also, if I try to chose A as the timesheet manager for B when editing B
´s properties I get this errod
"Timesheet manager is not a valid choice".
Please help me out on this.. We are going live very shortly.

Timesheet approvals have nothing to do with the RBS.

It has only to do with who is set as the users "Timesheet manager" in the
edit user details. The list of available users to select as a timesheet
manager would be users that are members of security groups with the "Approve
Timesheets" category permission I believe.

"The timesheet manager is not a valid choise"...
Would that be security related?

I believe we are having the same problem, please let me know if you find a

Hi LeneG, I found the solution, not sure if it will solve your problem but
probably it will! Here is a copy&paste of my answer from the other thread:

"Hi found the problem!!!! The problem was with the global permissions, I
noticed that I had a red cross near the Accept Timesheets option in Global
Permissions List. So problaly during migration from PS2003 that setting came
across because I don't remember setting it. So to change this I went to
Server Settings -> Project Web Acces Permissions and checked the unchecked
boxes (in my case only the ones related with Timesheets where not checked).
Et voilas, now I can assign the Ressource manager to my users without getting
the error "The timesheet manager is not a valid choice" "
