Hi,
My problem is with current timesheet view.
Current view works in this way:
A resource is assigned task of 8hrs.
Now when he enters the actual work done or remaining work
say 4hrs,The % work complete gets To 50 %.
Now I know this is very true,but pratically it doesn't happens like that.
The resource though worked for 4 hrs ,might not have completed 50% of
work(may be due to some technical reasons),and PM will be under impression
that ok! 50 % of the work got over(pratically its not).
Also problem is if resource worked for more that 8 hrs for that task say
10hrs ,then the original time allocated to that task also get updated to 10
hrs which is not recommended(Well i might be wrong in perception,but as far
as i know it works the same).
Now I want to change view such that
resource should enter actual hrs of working and aslo the actual % of work
completed in those hours.
E.g
If task is of 8Hrs
And resource worked for 4 hrs and he completes only 30 % of work in those 4
hrs.
Also it should get reflected in the schedule.
Is it possible?
I tried it using enterprise feilds but it does not get reflected in the
schedule.

Please help me on this.

If you're collecting hours worked, you should teach your users to adjust the
remaining work value. You have a choice to collect work and remaining work,
or you can collect percent complete and remaining work. You can't adjust
both work and percent complete.

You also need to set a baseline if you want to preserve the original work
value as Work always = Actual Work, once actual work has consumed or
exceeded the original planned work value.
