Dear all,

(MSPS2007 + SP1)
Q1) I noticed some users (permissions = Team Member security template) can
write within their timesheet actual work, some other have no write access?
What did I miss here?

Q2) When some absence (eg holidays) have been registered within resource
calendar. What are the steps to make them visible within timesheets (eg
vacation administrative line) as planned?

Thanks in advance for your inputs

Hi jpa,

Q1 Answer: are these users within the same User group? if so you need to
check each user individually in regards to their security. I am sure you will
find that these users have different access rights

Q2 Answer: If you change the resource calendar the availabillity of this
user actually drops, meaning that you will not need to enter the data in the
timsheet. If you use the timesheet, you should not change the calendar, but
use the Administrative task functionality of Project Server. This allows the
Timesheet manager to approve holdiay and the time will be recorded against
the user.

Hope this helps

Thanks Marc,

Q1: I investigated deeper in detail and problem is:
- if timesheet created with "Weeks" as Timesheet Grid Column Units, then
user CANNOT write time for administrative tasks
- if timesheet created with "Days" as Timesheet Grid Column Units, then user
CAN write time for administrative tasks
In both cases he can write time for any of his/her project tasks.
Why such a behaviour? Anything to configure?

Q2: Could you detail what you exactly mean with "Administrative task
functionality of Project Server"?

Thanks in advance
jpa
