Timesheets questions in PWA 2007

I am investigating the use of timesheets.

Can timesheets tasks have custom fields? We need this for special operation
codes for our accounting system.

Also is there any sample code or third party applications for extracting
timesheet information for printing or importing into other systems?

Hi Gary,

The timehseet functionality allows you to set so called "Timesheet
Classifications". These clasifications allow users to enter their time on
different classifications for accounting purposes. I can imagine that this is
what you are after. Appart from the classifications, you cannot create
timesheet custom fields.

In regards to some code, check out the Project Server SDK which you can find
on the microsoft site. Project server has a reporting database where (nearly)
all timehseet data is kept. You can easily report from this db. In regards to
integration with third party products, the SDK has some examples for SAP.
Since Project Server uses web services ( calles PSI ) you can essentially
integrate with (almost) any third party product.
