timestamp

How do I correct timestamp in Outlook email? It is several hours and minutes
off. It is nothing close to the correct time or time on my computer. I am
using Windows XP Professional. Thank you!

Could you clarify what timestamp you mean? If it's the 'Received'
timestamp in the message header, that is set by the receiving mail
server, which may be in a completely different time zone. (For instance
mine is 14 hours off, as the mail server is in the US, and I am in
Japan.) However, Outlook will show the correct date and time when the
message arrived in my mailbox.

Please also state your version of Outlook.

Thank you so much for replying! The E-mail I used to get this reply has been
down for several days, so I could not tell I had a response or I would have
gotten back to you sooner.

The wrong time has been both on the screen showing when it came in and on
the emails when they are printed. Wouldn't the minutes be the same and only
the hours be different if it were about a time zone? But perhaps I show my
ignorance, I'm not really sure how that works.

The outlook version is 2003.

I do not do computers very well, but I try, so please bare with me if I
don't know the right terms to use, etc. Wow, you're in Japan. Now that's
far away.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Can you tell me what version of Outlook you use, and - if you know -
what account type (POP, Imap, Exchange Server)?

It is possible that the message shows the date/time when it arrived on
your mail server, not in your actual mailbox. Outlook should
automatically convert the difference of time zones between the mail
server and client (Outlook).
