One approach would be to change the PWA user accounts for this one team's
members to use Project Server authentication rather than Windows User
Account authentication. You would then be able to log into PWA with a user
name and password for each of these team members and enter their actuals.
However, it seems like entering the actuals in the Microsoft Project plan,
as you are currently doing, is a simpler solution. Hope this helps.

Our team members use PWA to enter their time. However, we have one team that
has to enter their time in an Access database and the project manager for
that team does not want them to have to enter time in PWA too. There was a
project plan created for that team (short term projects) and I have been
entering the time under actual work in the project plan.

Is there any way whatsoever for me to be able to enter time for another
person in PWA for that project?

Many thanks,

Jennifer,

I agree with Dale another option is to use Adjust actuals screen in PWA

Logon to PWA as you or project manager > Click on Resouce > Click on Adjust
Actuals and select the resource no matter windows account or project server
authentication. You can adjust the actuals for the resouce.

Thanks

Dale,

When I go into modify user to change from Windows authentication to Project
Server authentication, do I reset the user's password? I have tried to find
this information in the Project 2003 QUE book CD but I'm not coming up with
any information in this regard. If I reset the password does it affect the
resource's ability to log onto their windows account?

Many thanks,
Jennifer

When you change the PWA user account to Project Server authentication, you
can set the password for the user at that time. When you change the user to
Project Server authentication, he/she will have to log into PWA by entering
a user name and password.

You will not find this information anywhere in the Que book or any other
books strictly about Microsoft Project. You might check out our company's
books on Project Server 2002 and 2003 by clicking the URL in my signature

Dale,

I just finished changing a testing account I have from Windows
authentication to Project Server authentication, reset the password and
logged in as that individual. I didn't need the password to get into the
account though which is okay. I had used my test project and assigned my
testing account a task. I was able to enter time for for the testing account
and that time appeared in a report through an Access database that Immedient
had created for us for reporting hours.

You are the GREATEST as this has been a real challenge.

Many thanks,
Jennifer
