One of my users is an admin assistant who manages the calendars of two
executives. Sharing is set up and she has full access to the calendars.
She is looking for the easiest / best way to do the following:
Create an appointment for an executive which IMMEDIATELY shows up in
their calendar, and ALSO sends them an email.
The problems are:
- If you create the appointment and INVITE the executive, the
appointment will not show up on their calendar (even as tentative)
until they OPEN the message (which may not happen).
- If you create the appointment DIRECTLY in the executive's calendar,
it is immediately there, but NO EMAIL is generated to the executive.
- If you create the appointment and INVITE the executive, and also COPY
the appointment DIRECTLY into their calendar, when they open up the
message it creates a SECOND copy of the appointment.
Currently she is using the third option, because risking duplicates is
better than missing the information. Is there a better way?
