titles at the end of the page

I am workign with a long manuscript (and with Word
2002). Some of the subtitles happen to be at the last
line at the bottom of the page. Is there any easy way to
have Word automatically move the title to the top of the
next page (without simply adding another blank line since
that might change with further revisions of the
manuscript). Thanks

Hi Amit,

You need to format the subtitles as "keep with next" under Format |
Paragraph.

Note that you should also be using "space before" and "space after"
properties for titles, instead of hitting return multiple times to set off a
title. Otherwise, "keep with next" won't work as you want it.

Actually, what you really need to do is to be using Styles, then you format
the subtitle in a particular style that centers, bolds, applies keep with
next, and sets space after, with just one action on your part, and produces
a document that looks the way you want it even after severe editing. See
these links for more info about the utility of Styles--they require
investing some time to learn them, but using them means you can make Word
work for you instead of having to struggle with it.

As Dayo says, you should be using styles, and those styles should be
formatted as "Keep with next." If you use Word's built-in heading styles
(Heading 1, Heading 2, etc.), they are by default formatted as "Keep with
next" and have some Spacing Before/After. You definitely want to avoid empty
paragraphs/blank lines.
