You are moving an item. You are touching it. That's why the Modified
datestamp changes. That doesn't affect the Received or Sent datestamps.
You can always customize the view to add whatever columns you want, so if
you don't want to see the Modified datestamp then add the Received or Sent
columns.
None of my folders have a view that includes the Modified datestamp column.
I don't see the point unless you're trying to figure out why auto-archiving
isn't working (because it is based on the Modified value). You can chose to
sort on any field you like, so don't chose the Modified field on which to
sort.
Are we to guess if you are using POP or IMAP to access the account(s) up on
the server(s)?
You say "other users". Does that mean these other users are sharing the
same instance of Outlook? If so, are they sharing your mail profile under
your Windows login? Do they have their own separate mail profile under your
same Windows login? Do they have their own separate Windows login? Are you
attempting to somehow share the .pst file? Are you sharing e-mail accounts
or do users each have their own non-shared e-mail account?
Also, Outlook is an e-mail client, not a server. Just what do you actually
mean by "save onto another server"? If you send e-mails, they WILL get a
new datestamp. You cannot transfer e-mails received into Outlook from one
mail server and then send them again to another mail server without the
datestamp getting changed. You are, after all, sending NEW e-mails to the
other mail server. Perhaps Outlook isn't even involved in what you are
attempting to actually accomplish and instead you want to migrate off an old
mail server and move to a new one. Well, that would depend on which mail
servers were involved and what export/import functions they included (and
would not be on-topic in this newsgroup).
