TO DELETE ONLY NUMERIC VALUES IN A CHARACTER AND NUMERIC CELL IN

I had a column of about 2500 with names and mobile numbers in the same cell.
I needed to extract only characters from that columns into separate column. I
did not figure out a way to do this .

any help?

Hi Ramesh

Try the below formula with the data in cell A1..If this does not work post
few examples..
=TRIM(LEFT(A1,MIN(SEARCH({0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9},A1&"0123456789"))-1))
