To Delete Word Files on Hard Disk

I wish to delete old Word files that can be removed
from he History launcher but remain on the hard disk.
Your help is appreciated.

File management is much easier in Windows Explorer than in Word's Open or
Save dialog, but in either you can select the file and press Delete (which
will send the document to the Recycle Bin) or Shift+Delete, which will
delete it.
