To-Do Bar question in Outlook 2007

Occasionally I get a colored patch that scrolls across the top of the task
list in the To-Do bar. It is located right above the column headings and
only happens intermittently. It will usually go away if I close Outlook and
re-open it, but sometimes it will not go away. Is there a purpose or meaning
to this scrolling colored patch? How do you turn it off? Thanks!

If its what I think, it just means outlook is thinking, but can you post a
screen shot so I can see for sure? if you don't have a place to post,
xsolive.com has a place to post outlook screenshots.
