To Do List

Does anyone know if there is a way to get an ongoing event to show up on your
to do list? If I enter a project with a 1 month deadline, it does not alert
me to it coming up.

Yes, make a Task with a Start date now and Due date 1 month away. It will
show on the To Do bar. If you want a reminder to alert you (you didn't
explain what you mean by "alert"), set a reminder for now, not 1 month's
time.

Want more detail on how to do this, then tell us your version.

Is it an appointment or a task?

The to-do bar shows the next xx timed appointments, up to 30 days out. You
can set the number of appointments shown in tools, options, other tab, to-do
options. The appointment needs to be less than 24 hrs to show in the list.
If you need it to span a few days, make it recurring from like 8-5 daily.

If you mean tasks, they should show in the list.
