To Hide a Administrative Project Task.

1. open the project server database table "MSP_WEB_PROJECTS"
2. find the administrative project record
3. set the "WProj_Adminproject" field to "0" zero.
4. Login to PWA, Hide the admin project task.
5. Reset the "WProj_Adminproject" field to "1" One.

and you are all set.

Arun,

Can we make this a permanent change by leaving the WProj_Adminproject field
set to zero? Also, where do you find this kind of technical information?
Just curious because I think MS keeps helpful stuff like this from it's
clients just to make their lives more difficult!

Thanks!

On the contrary, Microsoft is so generous with this information that it
installs on your server when you install the application. Of course that's
the last place anyone looks, right? Checkout the help directory of your
server installation and where you'll find the data dictionary for Project
Server and Project.

So my server administrators are keeping information from me! I'll have to
pay them a visit!

Can we make this a permanent change by leaving the WProj_Adminproject field
set to zero?

Randy:

If you do this, you no longer have a plan that functions the way it was
designed. At that point, you may as well work with regular plans.
