to many fields are defined

I am trying to add colums and it says that to many fields are defined. I
tried taking a few out to make room but it stills says to many fields are
defined.

This was answered in your OTHER post. One post per question please.

If you are in a table when this happens, how many fields do you have? You
should have no more than 20 or 30 fields in any given table. A
well-designed database table will most likely contain only 10 or 15 fields.

What is the structure of this table? What type of data are you trying to
store?

Once you start receiving that error message, removing fields won't make a
difference until, as suggested elsewhere, you run Compact & Repair.

I agree with the other responses you've received, though. It would be an
extremely rare exception to find a well-normalized table in Access with more
than 30 fields.

If you'd care to post an example of some of the fields your table has, folks
may be able to offer a data design that lets you use more of Access'
features and functions.
