To Microsoft

There are 2 problems that I have encountered that I have not solved even
after doing all the solutions offered in these newsgroups (thanks to those
who helped). I also noticed that these problems have been existing for years
and for so many versions. There are alternative solutions, workarounds
created by users and MVPs but I simply cannot believe that Microsoft with
all you money and supposedly brilliant developers cannot solve it and fix
them in your products.

Problem 1: Not all categories that you entered for certain contacts are
synced. For example, if you have Bill Gates as a contact and you have him
under Business, Money, Family or whatever else category, when you sync your
PDA may have all the categories in there but if you look at the contact it
will only list 1 or 2 categories and fails to sync the rest. I've tried many
solutions and workarounds with special mention to raj pillaj
(http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/raj/Categories.html) but alas none of the
suggested solutions have worked.

Problem 2: After having been able to sync notes for a long time, for some
unknown reason, notes fails to sync and no matter what you do
(unistall/reinstall outlook, unistall/reinstall activesync, hardreset your
pocketpc device, move notes, create new profile, etc i've tried just about
everything i saw in the newsgroups) notes just won't sync anymore.

I am extremely frustrated because I have been a user of Microsoft products
and have depended on Office, Outlook, Activesync and Windows for PocketPC. I
have wasted days trying to sort out the mess and I'm so frustrated that i'm
even thinking of junking the whole microsoft platform for something else
like Mac. I know you guys have got it made with your billions but I hope
you're not being complacent to leave these problems that have been raised
for years because like everything your reign too shall pass...sooner than
you think.

I just hope someone from Microsoft is listening but I don't think it really
matters, because they've got it made and are sitting on their billions and
probably don't care about the problems we, the users, are having.

To users who have helped, thanks and do continue your good work.

Not entirely true. I've seen junk posts get deleted, so someone must be
doing it. Moreover, posting to the newsgroups using MS's web interface and
the "suggestion" option _will_ get the attention of someone in MS. However
any moderation is, I'll grant, lightly imposed.

They get deleted as MVPs have a source to whom we report spam emails for
removal.
