Help, please?

When I asked a few days ago how to import the Microsoft Intermediate
Certificate and Microsoft Entity Certificate from Panther's
Users/~/Library/Keychains to Tiger's Users/~/Library Keychains

J.E. McGimpsey thoughtfully responded "See:
<http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;887413>

Unfortunately, Tiger's Keychain Access Utility does is very different from
Panther's, and the article at the above address refers to ways to import or
re-create that no longer work.

If I go into the Finder, I clearly see the two certificates in my user
Library/Keychains. But when I click on import and navigate to the folder
containing the Microsoft keychains, they're grayed out and can't be
accessed.

The article suggested an alternative: "Click the Keychain menu, click
X509 Anchors, and then click OK" That's NOT in the Keychain menu, and when
I go down into a popup button and click on X509 anchors, nothing happens.

Tiger's Keychain Access allows you to select either "Certificates" or "My
Certificates" which are visible when you go into import mode. But
highlighting either of them does not help.

I did an erase-and-clean installation of OS 10.4 and opted NOT to use the
Tiger setup assistant because Panther was corrupted.

If you've imported MS certificates from a Panther volume to a Tiger volume,
please help.

Respectfully, Norm

Update: I tried using Tiger's Keychain Access Utility First Aid since the
below post but it did not help. The files in the Panther folder ~Keychain
folder are still grayed out. Your counsel, please? Norm

I don;t know if it's because of the way my Mac is setup, but if I
double-clik a cert in the Finder, the Keychain Access app offers me to
add it to my keychain, to the System's or to the X509 anchor (which is
where it should go in your case). Wha choice do you get when you do that
??
