to scroll or not to scroll

Hi,
For whatever reason the scroll-wheel of my mouse refuses to work in any
dropdownlist.
Word...; Excel... no problem, Access forms... nothing.
What can cause this?

As far as I know, Access combo boxes simply don't respond to the
scroll-wheel.
