To set up Exchange account in Outlook2000, when option isnt there

Apparently Outlook thinks the Exchange account is already created - it was
created once, but didn't work; tried to delete it and re-create it, but
wouldnt let me create a new Exchange account; I uninstalled Office, and
reinstalled it, but that did not fix the problem. Only gives me options for
adding a POP3/IMAP4 account.

Apparently something is broken (some registry key needs to be re-set?) but I
don't have any idea and can't find KB articles on this. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

GG

Are you configured in Corporate/Workgroup mode or Internet Mail Only mode?
Help | About should tell you.

You've installed Outlook in Internet Mail Only mode, which doesn't allow an
Exchange account. Click Tools>Options>Mail Setup and reconfigure Outlook to
Corporate or Workgroup mode.
