I have a shared Access 2003 database. It resides on a server, which is
accessed by 2 people besides mysel-, they use vpn and remote desktop to get
to the database on the server. In the database is a function for users that
can trigger an Outlook (email on the server) to a contact(s) in the database.
Currently database is not split into front end/back end. I want to know if
i split the database, where does the front end go for the remote users? on
their laptop? or on the server drive that the database is currently on? and
is there a way to configure this so that the database will trigger their own
personal email on their laptops instead of the email on the server?
