Eleanor,

I never seen a list, but in general the item(s) to be avoided are:

VML Graphics (WordArt, etc.)

Photo Gallery - the one where thumbnails are across the top of the page and you have to use the
arrows to move left to right, etc.

Thomas, where can we find a list of all the things not to do with FP now
because they only work in IE?
My 'Don't Do' page is helpful along with Jim B's link but those might not
cover everything.

What else should I add to my page? You write it, I'll include it!

I think Jim Buyens article you recommend has an error. It says:

"1. Hover Buttons
....
This component uses Java applets to create its effects. Unfortunately,
Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and most likely all future Microsoft
operating systems lack the capability to run these applets. As a result,
visitors running Windows XP or later see only a gray box. "

My java applets work fine on XP with IE or Mozilla. Am I missing something
here? Thanks -Fred

Thats because your machine has JVM installed on it...most don't these days, and users would have to download and install JVM to see your hover buttons...otherwise they'll just see a gray box.

Yes, it depends on which release of Windows XP / IE 6 you have, unless you have installed the Sun
Java Virtual Machine.
