I understand how to mark a citation [such as Avery v.
Microsoft, 100 U.S. 1 (2003).]when making a TOA. However,
I can not figure out how I can let the TOA know that there
are subsequent references to the same cite, that appear in
a different form; such as Id., Id. at 123, or Avery, 100
U.S. at 123. On the TOA I only want it to appear
as "Avery v. Microsoft, 100 U.S. 1 (2003).", but I also
want to reflect the seperate page numbers that the cite
may appear. The problem is further complicated by the
fact that the short cites (such as Id., Id. at 123, etc.)
are not unique and the same notation is used to refer to
other citations.
If anyone can make sense of this drawn-out question and
has a solution, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Avery
