I am using Microsoft Word 2003. I have a document that has 6 chapters and
nothing too complex. I created them as usual with Heading 1 as the chapter
titles. I am using page numbers in the footers for each chapter that show
chapter # and page # (e.g. 1-2, 2-4 etc...). I created the TOC as usual
which has the chapter-page # in the page number column. However, Chapter one
is showing up as Chapter 2 in the page number section (2-1, 2-3, 2-3
etc...). The remaining chapters are accurate. It's just Chapter one showing
up as chapter two in the page number section. Chapter two is Chapter two and
Chapter three is chapter three etc... I have tried everything I can possibly
think of and I can't get chapter one to be chapter one. I was wondering if
someone could offer any advice. Thanks in advance.
