TOC entry with line breaks???

We need to have a single TOC entry with line breaks in the text. It's fine
in the document, but in the generated TOC it treats the line breaks as white
space (and of course, if we use paragraphs instead of line breaks it treats
them as different TOC entries).

Is there any way to have a TOC entry where you can control the line
wrapping?

You need the \x switch in the TOC field. See "Field codes: TOC (Table of
Contents) field."
