TOC from highlighted text macro ???

Im not sure but Ive been told I want to write a macro for
word 2002 that:

finds and replaces, (actually copies) my differently
colored highlighted text from

word 2002,
powerpoint 2002,
and Adobe .pdf (if possible)

documents and puts the extracted text into a word
2002 .doc file.

My highlighted red and green and pink and blue and yellow
text with a:

Table Of Contents

(TOC) that had indents levels:

1=red(article_headings),
2=green(article_issues),
3=pink(article_quotes),
4=yellow(article_references),
5=blue(my_issues),.

I'm reading lengthy articles and wish to highlight text
different colours depending upon the category; headings,
issues, quotes, references and my own bits added in. [perhaps
I cant add in my own bits with pdf but I still wish to
highlight and insert into a TOC according those colors]

I want to be able to read and highlight different
categories, say a word or two up to a whole paragraph.
Later, I want to be able to print off my highlighted
pieces in a TOC layout. The different colors would
correspond to a level.

Ideally, I would like to highlight and click a toolbar
button.

If I can assign a toolbar picture all the better.

Im running win xp home and Office xp. Any other
suggestions would be greatly appreciated including other
newsgroup. Hope someone can understand my question!

PS DOES anyone know how I can get colored text
highlighting to work with iexplorer and thus do the same thing.
(if you know what I mean)

You posted a nearly identical query to ms.public.word.newusers
less than 24 hours ago. It has been answered and questions
posed to you there. You've asked for a complex tool. If you
want to end up building anything even close, you'll need to be
more considerate. People take time to investigate your needs.
