Hi!
I have Word 2003 document with TOC like this:
1. Introduction
1.1 Purpose
1.2 Audience
1.3 Product Overview
1.4 System Dependencies
1.5 Product Prefixes
1.6 Document Organization
1.7 What’s New in this Release
1.8 Conventions
1.9 Related Documents
1.10 Getting Help
1.11 What’s Next
2. Installation Overview and Preparation
2.1 Purpose
2.2 Product Instance
2.3 Installation Overview
2.4 Machine Platform Preparation
and so on.
Levels are made using Heading 1 (for 1. and 2. items) and Heading 2 (for
subitems, like 1.1, 1.2 etc.).
I also adjusted levels in the Document Map with Outlining tools
("Introduction" and "Installation Overview and Preparation" are promoted to
Level 1). These two items should be top-level.
But, the problem is, when I create PDF using PDFMaker 7.0 and it configures
Heading 1 and Heading 2 to its bookmarks (I set it in Conversion Settings),
the bookmarks in the resulting PDF file show that only "Introduction" is top
level! The 2nd top-level TOC item is not top-level in PDF bookmarks for some
reason -
Item 2 ("Installation Overview and Preparation") is at the same level as
items 1.1 through 1.11.
How can I fix that? I already reviewed all styles applied to Heading 1 in
Word document - they are all correct. I mean, item 1 and item 2 in the Word
file are completely the same. Why PDFMaker places item 2 at a lower level in
the PDF file?
Please help!
