How is it possible to convert a table of contents to just regular formatted
text but yet keep the "...", page number, tabs, etc. Basically, how can the
Field coding be removed without changing the physical appearance of the text.

Thanks,
Dan

Hello Don,

Not sure whether you're on a Mac or not. This is a discussion group for
users of Mac versions of Word; people who lob in via
discussions.microsoft.com are usually sprayed in here unwittingly from the
Windows world. But if you are on a Mac, just select the table of contents
and key Command-Shift-F9 (i.e., hold down the Command and Shift keys then
hit the F9 key). *Maybe* it's Control-Shift-F9 on the PC, but that's just a
wild guess.

Here's where all the discussion groups are listed:

Thanks, Clive!

For both the heads-up on this being a Mac forum (I am indeed using a PC) and
for the helpful information (it was Ctrl-Atl-F9). Greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Dan
