TOC Numbering question

Had a quick check through existing posts and am impressed with answers,
heres one for you guys to get your teeth into:-

Have generated linked styles with numbering for Headings and Appendicies
down 4 levels, works well....

Pages 1-40 have standard Page Numbering 1, 2, 3 etc
Pages 41-50 are Appendicies in a Different Section with Roman Numberals I,
II etc

The TOC is generated by a Macro for Headings 1 and 2, and Appendicies Level
1

Can I get the Appendicies to appear in the TOC as Page numbers NOT Roman
Numerals?

ie Not
Heading Text..........1 Heading Text............1
Sub Heading.........3 Sub Heading...........3
Sub Heading.........8 Sub Heading...........8
Heading Text.........30 Heading Text..........30
Appendix Head.....41 Appendix Head.........I
Appendix Head.....47 Appendix Head........II

The TOC will always show the sections real page number as you define it
previously. You have two possibilities as I see it:

1. Write a macro that, after creation of the TOC, goes through it and
changes the roman page numbers back to arabic ones, and

2. Define the page numbers in your appendix as arabic/continuous from
previous section, but don't show the mere page field but something else
there (a field which subtracts 40 from the page field and formats its
output in roman).

I'd strongly prefer the second approach.
