TOC problems

Hi

I am very new at TOC's....in fact, I am not 100% sure how I have managed to
work it out!!! Anyway, my TOC itself is perfect and I am happy with what it
is displaying and what it looks like.

One problem.....I have Appendices at the end of my document, however in my
document just before the Appendices is a list of all the Appendices, so in
the TOC, it says 7. Appendices .....17
Appendix a: name of doc form.....17
name of doc letter.....17
Appendix b: name of doc.....17
Appendix c: name of doc.....17
Appendix d: name of doc.....17

Two things, some of the Appendixes have got two documents relating to
similar things, such as one being a form and the other being a letter (such
as under Appendix a)....on page 17, it is a hanging indentation...is there
anyway to incorporate that into the TOC, without manually manipulating it??

Secondly....Obviously as the Appendice on page 17 is a list...it does not
show up the appropriate number, where the relevant document actually
is....what is the best way to do this?

Hope it isn't too complicated, as unfortunately my internet access is
limited, so only have access to government sites and the microsoft
website.....so those helpful links in other posts, I don't have access to,
unfortunately.

Thanks
Shaz

What I usually do with appendixes is, as you have done, create a separate
TOC for them and omit page numbers. You can assign a different TOC style
level to the entries in that TOC and modify the TOC style to have a hanging
indent as needed. For more on TOCs, see
