TOC Styles

Throughout a long document in Word 2003 I've modified and used the built-in
Heading Styles 1, 2, & 3 and have modified styles TOC 1, 2, & 3 to match
these heading styles. When creating a TOC the styles TOC1 & TOC 3 draw the
text exactly as it is typed in the headings (ie. a heading "This Is a
Heading" displays in the TOC as "This Is a Heading"). However TOC2 is
inconsistent carrying over the use of capitals and/or does not include the
capitals at all.
ie. The heading in the document eg. "This Is Heading 2A", in the table of
contents becomes "this is heading 2a", or sometimes "This is heading 2A".

I've tried comparing all of the styles, in both this and similar documents
and cannot see why this is going wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

If the heading styles include All Caps formatting, it is often difficult to
be sure that you have actually applied the Caps&lowercase format
consistently. I usually test by removing the All Caps from a given heading
to check, correcting any errors, and then resetting the heading
(Ctrl+Spacebar) to restore the All Caps.
