Hi all,
We have multiple people collaborating on docs - all with some knowledge of
Word - the result is a confusion of styles as docs are revised and edited.
In an effort to minimize confusion for my colleagues, I made a template for
a project with headings named uniquely ads_header1, ads_header2, and even
an ads_normal etc. But didn't realize that this might create problems when
attempting to create a TOC.
Is there a way to establish the style for the TOC in the template? It looks
to me as if each time the TOC is created the user has to manually apply the
user created styles. Is that right?
And that the ads_header1 style doesn't automatically apply? The TOC style
has to be modified through the Indexes and Tables menu and following
dialogue box. ? Do I have this right?
Also that the normal.dot TOC entries will be in the list. That's easy to
deal with - simply by not using those styles they won't show up in TOC.
Confirmation or correction gratefully accepted.
