TOC with Multiple documents

Hi,

We need to create a TOC based on styles, for a number
(about 50) documents in Word 97. We tried using the RD
field but the page numbers are not hyperlinked. Can you
think of any other way of creating this TOC - don't
really want to go down the bookmark road as there could
be hundreds of them and the structure of the documents
may change over time with headings added or deleted, so
we need the TOC to update automatically.

Any advice gratefully received.
