Hi Joey:
An alternative to Michel's suggestion is to use the field "PRINTDATE"
instead of DATE.
DATE always shows the date the document was opened: PRINTDATE updates only
if you print the document. You could also use SAVEDATE, or CREATEDATE. But
SAVEDATE is likely to update each time you open the document also.
CREATEDATE will "never" update, but it is copied each time you copy the file

word document which is for example an invoice I created say 2 years ago (2nd
June 2007 for example) Todays date automatically replaces this date. How do I
