I have some Word 2000 mail merge documents that pick up information from
Access 2000. I wan't each document (which are letters) to have today's date
at the top. How do I get them to put today's date without having to
manually type it in.

Hi Dixie,

Save the main document as a template and insert a CREATEDATE field where you
want the date to appear. When you then create a new document from the
template to be used for the mailmerge operation, the current date will
appear in the CREATEDATE field.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the
benefit of others who may be interested. Unsolicited questions forwarded
directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.

Hope this helps
