I am using Word 2000
I have a long document followed by a Table of Contents.

I am using styles for my Table of Contents. A couple of
the headings keeps comming up in the Table of Contents as
the first word all capitalized and the 2nd word small
letters: Ex: VISION statement.
I checked the heading in the document and it looked OK.
But I re-typed the heading anyway and made sure it had the
correct style attached to it. But it still comes up
wrong. Does anyone have any ideas as to how to correct
this????

I need an answer quickly, as this has to go to

Aurora,

Your problem sounds like one I encountered a while back on
a long document with a Table of Contents.

I was using a "Small Caps" type font in the "Heading" that
didn't really reveal caps from lower case. The way I
solved it was that I went back to each heading in the
document that had the problem (e.g. VISION statement) and
retyped the heading making sure I was using the correct
case (upper/lower) on each letter. Once I had done that,
I went back to the Table of Contents and did an update
fields. That corrected my problem...maybe that could be
happening to you.

Actually, Small Caps should show the distinction between upper and lower
case, but All Caps will not.
