Toggle screen saver from Word macro?

I think my screen saver coming on in the middle of a long-running macro is
screwing things up. Is there any way I can reach into my Windows system
(XP, with Word XP/2002) to toggle the screen saver off at the beginning of
my code, and then turn it back on (or reset the timer, vice activating it)?

G'day "Ed" <[email protected]>,

Highly unlikely. Are you editting? Do an ActiveDocument.UndoClear
regularly. Are you opening / closing documents? Use a DoEvents after
doing so. And so on. See www.mvps.org/Word/FAQs/index.htm for more
joy.
