Tolerance

I'm trying to use MSP to generate a sequence flow chart for a machine. My
question is this, Is there a way to set tolerances on a particular task (+/-)
X days? If it can be done how? Also on a side note, is there a way to set
the time of a duration in seconds or less, otherwise I will just use days?

Thanks,
Josh

Tolerances on tasks are not possible unless you are using a monte carlo
simulation tool in conjunction with Project. However, you could use the PERT
Analysis to get something similar.

View/Toolbars/PERT Analysis.

When you enter a task, select PERT Entry form on the PERT toolbar. Now you
can enter a triple time estimate. When you are all done, you have the choice
of selecting the optimistic, pessimistic and most likely Gantt charts from
the PERT toolbar.

Also, click Calculate PERT and then view the regular Gantt with the weighted
values.

2. You can change the display units. Tools/Options... pull the schedule
tab. The smallest unit of measure is minutes.
