Toll and Menu Bars Gone

Help please. In Word 2000 my tool and menu bars have disappeared and
without any menus I have no way of retrieving them. All I have is the title
bar and tab bar in view and there seems to be no key that will restore it
and I am at a bit of a loss.

Try pressing "Alt" followed by "V" and see whether that displays your
"View" menu; if so, scroll down to "Toolbars" and select the ones you
need.

Just a thought: if you have windows XP installed, maybe system recovery (? i
don't know what it's really called in english) might help...

I recently had the same problem. I found that Microsoft Knowledge Base
Article - 242368 was on target.
