Too many active users

I receive a message of Too many active users. Only about
10 users are authorized access to the database on a
network and there is no ldb file. Any ideas what might be
causing this message?

This may be a Windows networking message rather than an Access
message. What OS is the computer upon which your MDB resides? Is it
a Windows NT 4.0/2000/2003 Server? Or Windows NT 4.0/2000/XP Home/XP
Professional?

If not a server then you may be hitting the maximum of ten
users/connections/whatever allowed for a non server operating system.
