too many recipients

I am using Outlook 2003 as a gateway for my msn account. I have been notified
thru outlook that I have too many recipients. I know this is an msn issue
about numbers, but how do I "empty" my outlook file to reopen the
send/recieve capability? There is no "draft" present to delete. The message
continues to show error on send/recieve. Can anyone help? These are not spam
emails, just friends.
thanks for the help

Outlook is an e-mail client, not a gateway host nor is it a proxy or
relay server.

No, you were notified by your ISP via an error.

Huh? What "file" are you talking about? Just don't send to a number
of recipients that exceeds that maximum permitted by your e-mail
provider.

If you're asking on how to get rid of an item stuck in the Outbox:

- Load Outlook.
- Put Outlook in offline mode (File -> Work Offline: enable).
- Exit Outlook.
- Load Outlook in its safe mode ("outlook.exe /safe").
- Delete the stuck item in the Outbox folder.
- Put Outlook in online mode (File -> Work Offline, disable).

Otherwise, just delete the item in the Outbox folder and stop sending
to an excessive number of recipients. You have a personal e-mail
account, not a business e-mail account.

Drafts don't get sent. Items in the Outbox folder get sent. Any
e-mail you compose or a copy in the Drafts folder must first get moved
into the Outbox folder before it can be sent. Are there any items in
the Outbox folder?
