I have a 250 page document in which the styles have proliferated like
rabbits. Sure, I know, at one time or another I either put them there or they
added themselves because I modified another style (some of the styles are
just modifications of a "basic" one [e.g., the basic "Bulleted list - 10 pt"
has led to "Bulleted list - 10 pt red" and "Bulleted list -10 pt Italic" and
so on]). Now I want to get rid of the great majority of them and just leave
the basic ones I want to work with. What will happen to my document if I do
this? Also, once I do get down to a few basics, how can I prevent my simple
modification of one of them [e.g., changing the font to red] from adding a
new style to my list?
Your help would be most appreciated.
