Too slooooow

Hi there,

i've just installed the new office 2008 version. when I type in letters in a word document, or when I work on an Excel sheet, the program reacts only a few seconds later! this is crazy as it takes ages to write a simple sentence. creating graphs or anything doesn't work at all because the system is simply too slow.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve this problem?

Hi Joe:

This is mostly a bug introduced by Apple in OS 10.5.2, and we're waiting on
a fix for it.

If you roll back to OS 10.4.11, it won't happen.

There's a Service Pack for Office due out next week that may contain a fix
for it.

In the meantime, turn off the Entourage Progress Window, WYSIWYG Font Menu
in Word, and launching the Project Gallery on startup. Sadly, they will
have very little effect.
