I somehow removed the "File" button from the standard
toolbar. It has been replaced with the Excel spreadsheet
icon. The standard toolbar now begins with Edit.

Any help in how to restore the "File" button would be
appreciated.

Anywhere in your Menu list, Right Click. Then select
Customize... at the bottom of the pop up list. Select the
Commands Tab. In the Categories list click on Built-in
Menus. Then under Commands, left click on the File
command and drag it up to the Menu Bar where you would
like it and unclick.
