tool bar separator on a Mac

How do I add/move/delete a separator in the toolbar on a Mac?

First of all the toolbar containing the button must not be docked - so that
automatically excludes the Standard toolbar since it's locked in a docked
position. On a floating toolbar Control/Right-Click the button you want
preceded by a separator, choose Properties & check the "Begin a Group" box.
