Toolbar background

John

using word for X
prefer the plain gray background that extends from toolbars in word
98 to the chunky look of toolbars in X that don't extend all the way
across the page.
is there a way to turn on this background in word for X?
thanks much

Hi John,

I don't think there's a built-in way to change the look of the background.
It's probably part of MacOS Aqua. Before OSX there was a program called
Kaleidoscope that let you change the OS look and feel.

It is possible to make a UserForm that has any background that you like. You
could then put pictures of the buttons you like onto it and have them
activate the commands that the real buttons use. You'd need to do that in
the Visual Basic Editor.
