Toolbar Icons Missing

My toolbar icons for email/calendar/address book are missing.
Entourage 2008
Mac OSX 10.5.6

I have reinstalled and tried using a new identity.

The screenshot is very small, so it's hard to tell what's going on. Have
you tried customizing your toolbar to add the missing icons?

In your General preferences, have you by any chance checked Display Small
Navigation Buttons (or whatever the equivalent might be called in E 2008)?

Yes, I have it set to small icons in the toolbar options, but if I change
to standard it has the same issue.

Have you possibly installed the Safari 4.0 beta? Much of Entourage's
display depends on WebKit, which this beta updates. Use the Safari 4.0
uninstaller to reset Safari back to 3.0 and see if this fixes the problem.

No, still on the older safari

Have you possibly installed the Safari 4.0 beta? Much of Entourage's
display depends on WebKit, which this beta updates. Use the Safari 4.0
uninstaller to reset Safari back to 3.0 and see if this fixes the problem.

Which version of Entourage 2008? Look in the About Entourage window. If it's
not 12.1.5 then you need to update.

I have reinstalled and tried using a new identity

Go to System Preferences --> Create a New User in Accounts. Switch to the
New User by logging out/in or use Fast User Switching. Test Office there.

If it works in a new Entourage Identity, drag your regular Identity to the
Shared folder, switch to new User and drag (it copies) your Identity to the
Microsoft User Data folder. Does the problem exist in your Identity? If yes,
then it is your Identity, if no then it's your User's folder.

If you don't see the icons there, we need to look again at your Office
install and at your OS files.

Let me know what you find in a new User.

I reinstalled a clean os x as there were odd things happening in other
programs as well. The icons reappeared.
