Toolbar issues in Outlook 2000

B

BJS

Everytime I open Outlook it is missing the toolbar at the
top with file, edit, view, etc, but it has the icons. If
I click new, reply, forward, print, it will add another
standard toolbar each time. I can right click on the
toolbar and uncheck the 20 standard toolbars, but
everytime I click new, reply, etc. it adds another new
icon, reply icon, etc. I have unistalled, reloaded,
repaired, etc. and I am
unable to stop this from occurring or get the File, Edit,
View options to show up. Any suggestions other than
reformatting?

You may have a damaged outcmd.dat file.
Close Outlook.
Locate and rename outcmd.dat to outcmd.old. and restart Outlook.

NOTE: any menu customized menues will be returned to their original
pre-customization state.

Outcmd.dat contains customization made to Outlook menues through the
toolbar
customization menu options. Any menu items added by way of a COM add-in
will not be
lost.
