Toolbar, minor glitch, Outlook 2007

First, this is a google problem I think and not a Outlook problem per se.

When I right click in the Toolbar area (in Outlook 2007) there are two
Google Desktop Toolbars listed though only one does anything. The second
toolbar displays but is empty and does nothing.

How do I remove that non working option from the Toolbar menu? Thanks!

Uninstall the toolbar and see if all instance are removed from Outlook. If
not locate extend.dat and outcmd.dat and rename them to .old. See if the
Toolbars are gone now. After this reinstall the toolbar (if you still want
it).

I uninstalled the Google add-in but it still was listed - only one of the
two remained to be clicked in the Toolbar menu. I renamed the extend.dat as
you suggested and _could not_ find outcmd.dat on my hard drive _even_ after
doing a Search for everything to include hidden, system and non indexed
files.

At any rate, when I just right clicked the toolbar area in Outlook 2007, I
clicked on Customized and simple deselected Google from there and now it's
gone.

Thanks, DH

Open Windows Explorer and in the Address bar enter

%AppData%\Microsoft\Outlook

Click Go. You should see the outcmd.dat file there.

Brian, why didn't a Search - Everywhere to include Hidden, non Indexed files
display that file?

What don't I understand?

Perhaps you didn't have subfolders selected.
